In 1912, Olga Svensdotler leaves her small Swedish town for a daring journey to America, chasing dreams of freedom and opportunity. With her family’s encouragement but a heavy heart, she boards the RMS Baltic, leaving behind the only life she’s ever known.
Onboard, Olga finds an unexpected ally in Rachel, a spirited fellow traveler, and a dangerous passion in Rachel’s enigmatic brother, Erik. As their bond deepens, Olga becomes entangled in a whirlwind romance that feels destined—but Erik harbors a secret that could destroy everything she’s risking to build.
As the ship sails through stormy seas, Olga is forced to confront the emotional turbulence of love, betrayal, and the cost of new beginnings. Will the promise of America be enough to outweigh the sacrifices she must endure?
Rich with historical detail, Crossing the Horizon is a poignant tale of courage and resilience, exploring the immigrant experience and the lengths one woman will go to for love and freedom.
