Michele loves to read, travel, swim and take long walks, but mostly she loves to write. When she was 10, she wrote her first “novel” about a girl and her dog in a spiral-bound notebook. Her dream of being a novelist was put on hold as the myriad responsibilities of life took hold. She has had careers as a news reporter, advertising agency owner and marketing director. Michele believes God called her to write a modern-day novel based on the Bible’s Book of Job, which became “The Faithful One.” She relates to Job, as at one point she was losing her marriage and her business; her children were teenagers and she felt that they no longer needed her. Like her “Job” protagonist, Seth Jacobs, she latched onto her last shred of faith and through the grace of God, eventually everything she had lost returned tenfold—and her life felt richer, fuller. She says writing helped her to heal, and she wanted to help others find the hope they need.

She began to give talks about her journey as an author and develop a passion to help others become award-wining writers. Today she is a keynote speaker at writers’ conferences across the country, and as a college instructor teaches how to write, publish and market a book.

Michele lives in North East, Maryland, with her husband Bill and their blended family of five.
